Wastewater Treatment Plant (โรงงานบำบัดน้ำเสีย) คือ การกำจัดสิ่งปนเปื้อนในน้ำที่เกิดจากกระบวนการผลิตของโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม หรือเกิดจากกิจวัตรประจำวันของประชาชนที่อยู่อาศัยในชุมชนหรือแหล่งที่อยู่อาศัยต่างๆ ให้หมดไป หรือมีปริมาณสิ่งปนเปื้อนในน้ำลดลงจนมีคุณภาพเป็นไปตามมาตรฐานน้ำทิ้งน้ำเสียที่เกิดขึ้นจากแหล่งกำเนิดต่างๆ ซึ่ง Strainer Filter จะช่วยแยกของแข็งเหล่านั้นออกจาะน้ำเสียก่อนที่น้ำจะเข้าสู่ระบบบำบัดน้ำต่อไป ช่วยให้การบำบัดน้ำเสียได้ดี และ เร็วขึ้น.
ตัวอย่างการติดตั้ง Basket Strainer type Manual Hanwell ใน line pipeping ของ Wastewater Treatment Plant (โรงงานบำบัดน้ำเสีย) แทน Y Strainer เพราะความยากลำบากในการถอดไส้กรอง Y Strainer ออกมาล้างแต่ละครั้ง และ Basket Strainer type Manual Hanwell ไม่ใช้ไฟฟ้า สามารถติดตั้งในพื้นที่โล่งแจ้งได้
